Waterless Hills & Nick Jonah Davis 13 March 2020 7pm to 10pm

Waterless Hills fuse elements of Eastern European and Middle Eastern-folk music melted into the coldly stark foundations of droning post-rock.
The group consists of Andrew Cheetham (drums/percussion), Gavin Clarke (bass), C Joynes (guitar) and DBH on violin.
'Their album 'The Great Mountain' was recorded in one day direct to 1/4” tape at Hallé St Michaels, Manchester. All tracks were wholly improvised, and the tapes document a slowly-evolving interplay and, at times, ‘on-the-edge’ exchange between the players.' It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine

Nick Jonah Davis is a guitarist based in rural Derbyshire.
He has released four albums of original solo instrumental guitar works, drawing primarily on British and American folk traditions, on labels including Tompkins Square and Thread Recordings.
'Visionary stuff' - Bruce Russell, Wire Magazine
'(Davis) invites the listener into a world bounded by the resonance of his tunings and the vividness of his evolving melodies' - Bill Meyer, Dusted
